Over 60
Finally, after several monthsof flirting with close to a 60 pound loss, I made it over the hump! Successfully have lost 62.8 pounds using this program! My best advice! Do not make justifications for your actions! You are in control of you and no one else can do it for you! Started day off with a 5 mile run outside.....yes.....outside! I am amazed at myself!
PointsPlus Values
I am going to use this particular post for PPV of things we eat. Instead of adding a new post I will just add to this one as I think of things that you all may enjoy.
Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon: 3 strips = 2 points. Sodium and cholesterol are not bad either.

First "Official" Day on "The Journey"
I've been following my own version of weight loss efforts for the past several days. Making a decision to abstain from sweets, desserts, cookies & candies for Lent will certainly help and give me a spiritual lift as well. Today I will start following WW via the online program.
I know that the key to successful weight loss is a combination of eating the right foods, portion control, and exercise. I'm most always successful on the first two, rarely successful on the last. But I will give it my very best effort.
Something that will motivate me is the vision of my roly-poly chubby-cheeked, absolutely ROUND image of myself that I encountered yesterday. Like most of us weight-challenged people, I avoid mirrors from the neck down. So it was a shock to my system when I saw the whole package yesterday when sitting for a new photo for my business card. OMG, where the heck did I go?
I was listening to an audio the other day talking about a time when Michelangelo was asked why he was working so hard hitting the block of marble that would eventually become his greatest sculpture, David. Michaelangelo replied, “There is an angel inside this rock, and I am setting him free.”
I choose from this day forward to see the healthy me, to set the "angel" in me free.
Weight loss since Monday 2.2 pounds.
Love ya,
Deb

Potential Setback????
I weigh, at home, only once a week. Thursday is my weigh in day. Today, I got on our trusty WW scale armed with pen and paper ready to record my weight, BMI, fat content, H2O content etc. Ughhhh! I gained this week. After a thorough examination of my week to date, the biggest difference from previous weeks was the amount of time and intensity I spent on the treadmill and with the weights.
Memo to Bill..............Look dummie, you can not expect weight loss without putting in the time with weights and treadmill! The sad part is that I know my metabolism needs a jolt every morning and the most succesful way, for me, is any combination of aerobic/strength workouts. I let myself be fooled to think otherwise. Sure enough, the day got away for me without any workout. So, tomorrow I am going to try and make up for some of my missed training sessions and although doing so most likely won't be refelected in the 'offical' WW weigh in on Saturday morning, I am sure that I will feel better about myself and back in control.

Thursday
So here are a few quicky recipes that we both love:
Fluff - 3 points per serving
One 8oz container Fat Free Cool Whip
One small sugar free/fat free banana pudding (experiment with other flavors you like)
One 20oz can of crushed pineapple (well drained)
Mix all together and divide into four dishes
We used fresh strawberries the other day and it was even better.
Potato Wedges - 2 points for 4 ounces
8 oz of potatoes - cut into wedges
Toss with EVOO, rosemary, thyme, basil, salt and pepper.
Bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until desired crispiness
That's my sharing for today.
I did have a chicken taco salad today from Taco Hell (20 points), counted them from my 49 weekly points and don't feel quilty about it. Had to stop that damn craving. Haven't had Taco Bell since I started WW in October.
